I've forgotten

exactly how much pride I take in the fact that I've never had a taste of alcohol.

I don't want that to change.

I don't want to be like the rest of my friends.

I know how ya feel. I have a few friends that don't care much for alcohol and then a few that love to get "shit faced." I myself don't mind alcohol as long as it drank responsibly i.e. a drink at dinner, or a glass of wine at a celebratory time. I cannot stand it when people just drink it to get drunk and puke and not remember anything. That is so immature and repulsive to me that I can't explain how much I wish I could change peoples views on the matter.

I see what you're saying. Generally, I don't mind if people drink. I don't mind them taking a sip here or there, or, like you said, a glass of wine at dinner, or at a celebratory time, but I don't understand why people are in such a rush to try it. I really don't like it when kids drink when they're underage, or when their parents allow them to try it.

I don't understand it.

Heehee
You and I are the same~

sorta.

I had a taste arooound 1st grade i think.
I thought the wine was lime juice
I took a swing, then ran to the bathroom because it was icky and then got yelled at xD

Most people drink because it makes them feel "cool" I guess.
Like i've heard people say they don't like the taste but do it to fit in.

Huh?

Yeah I understand what your saying. There is an age limit because most people in America misuse the substance. I don't mind people drinking even if they are underage i.e. their parents let them have a taste at new years or so on. It is when people who are underage get other people to get them alcohol and then do shots or get themselves wasted because "everyone" else is doing it. That is just plain ignorant.

that's good...i would have pride in that...as for myself well i just drink once every 6 months...i'm not addicted to it and i know my limit and usually i'm the DD when people drink...thankfully i don't have people who force it on me.

I'm trying to figure out what my ethics are on drinking, so I enjoy hearing about the different drinking patterns of people. I don't think it's terrible if you're of-age, but otherwise, I'm really not fond of people drinking. Even if it's a sip at weddings, or celebrations. I think you should wait.

Perhaps Im just old-fashioned. (Sigh)

I'm still kind of iffy about even the parents allowing their kids to drink. I'm still old-fashioned, and I guess a sip really doesn't matter, but for some reason, it just irks me. I think it's because my brother partied A LOT when he was about 16. He and his friends were always drunk and stupid. I saw some things I probably shouldn't have seen, and it left a big imprint on my mind.

yes i believe that...where i'm from people drink all the time even the under age people but the town i'm in there is nothing to do...it's sad really. even in my age people are crazy with drinking and it scares me.
